Money Still Not Enough

I watch this movie last night with wen mau and all his cousin..
there's this part where the old lady mother to 3 sons (Ah Hui, Ah liang, Ah Huang) got Alzheimer disease and her 3 sons is taking their turn to take care of their mother ..
There's this part where it is Ah huang turns to take care of his mother...
So, during that night .. while his son is sleeping she sat beside him....Ah huang got frightened by his mother and ask her what has happen ..
she asked his son.. have he seen her red bra with mickey mouse on it ..
then his son replied "A red bra wih mickey mouse ?? No la.. you didnt bring along when u come here ... "
but the old granny insisted and say " ar..... i want to find my red bra... a huang ar... have u seen my bra ?? without it i can't get to sleep... find my bra for me.."
then ah huang get so frustrated and search the whole luggage...while the old granny stand still looking at his son searching her bra for her...
then she suddenly pull her shirt and look " Ah ~~ i'm wearing my red bra ... i found my red bra .. "
ah huang get even more frustrated and went back to sleep..
then she come again to ah huang...
"why are you here again ?? " said ah huang
"i can't find my black bra ... i want my black bra... without it i can't get to sleep ..."said the old grany
then ah huang said " ma...why must you wear bra ??? "
and that's the ending of the scene ..

In this case , slippery slope is used where without the red or black bra the old granny couldn't get to sleep...

a black one ??

or a red one ??

i assumed that.. but it turn out to be different...

Last week (26-28 August) as everyone in MMU knows that there's a blood donation drive going on..So on Thursday me and my bf Wen mau plan to go for a blood donation on Thursday after our class..
Before i was there i thought there will be less people donating their blood as thursday is the last day for the blood donation drive..But, as i and my friend reach there we saw a lot of ppl waiting for their turn to check their blood type..
Well, i took mine too.. hehe..My blood type is B and my friend's is O..
And so we waited at FIT CR1001, i thought soon will be our turn..but we waited for an hour and finally we can donate our blood !
So, they began to poke my right hand and finally finish one packet of blood approximately 15 minutes as my blood flow out quite slow compare to wen mau's one...
Then he advice that i should take a rest first before we go to FIT to look for his advisor..but i told him that i was fine..so we walk to the lift..soon i saw tiny black polka dots...and i told wen mau that i'm feeling dizzy..i scare to move my body as i scare that i will faint..cos i've experienced this before when i got Dengue early 2008..
So i sat down for a moment and those black polka dots gone..i thought that i'm fine and we went up to search for advisor..later... i feel so warm and even more dizzy...
after 20 minutes of resting i finally manage to walk back to my room...
another thing that i assumed is ... after the blood donation my hand turn blue black..i assumed that it will be fine the next day.. but who knows it's became worse .. the blue back now turn to purple black.. and now i'm wondering...when can it subsides....
From this .. i can say that i was making assumption that :
  1. During the Thursday Blood Donation Drive there won't be a lot of people at FIT CR1001
  2. It'll be soon to be our turn for donating our blood
  3. I won't feel dizzy after the blood donation
  4. My hand will heal the next day after i've donated my blood

My hand on Friday that was fine right ??

wuwu ~~ this is on Saturday night.. it's worsen !!

don't sleep back ar....

this weekend ..
though it isn't a very long holiday due to our national day ..
so me and my boyfriend plan to stay our at his aunt house..
so...
this morning ..
around 10.40a.m..
he came over to my room..
looking so sleepy and tried to wake me up...
then he pull me up from my bed and he sat next to my bed..
as i wanted to lie back to bed continue sleeping..
he said while he's trying to sleep " Don't sleep back ar.. Wake up now.. "
but he is also trying to sleep back again..
from our conversation i can see Tu Quoque fallacy occurs..

Rabbits grow bionic knees..

Researchers used a synthetic scaffold seeded with ligament cells to regenerate damaged knee tissue (Image: iStockphoto)

Human Knee

Well , rabbit is cute isn't it ?

But from past one year there's researchers from US studies uses bioengineering to help repair torn knee ligaments where it is a common type of sports injury. In preliminary studies, the investigators engineered new tissue in the damaged ligaments of rabbits in just 12 weeks. The hope is that if the approach works in humans, it could accelerate recovery times. The researchers used a synthetic scaffold seeded with ligament cells to regenerate the new tissue in the damaged anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of rabbits. The bunnies were able to begin bearing weight on their knees 24 hours after surgery, and by the end of the 12-week experiment, the animals had fresh collagen and blood vessels growing in the damaged area.

"It is my hope that these studies will lead to a revolutionary new treatment strategy for patients suffering from ACL tears," says Cato Laurencin, a professor of orthopaedic surgery and biomedical engineering at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville who led the study. The ACL is the stabilising ligament that connects the thighbone to the leg bone. It unravels like a plait when ruptured, making healing difficult.

In humans, the standard treatment for this is reconstructive surgery. Surgeons remove healthy tissue from tendons around the knee and graft it onto the damaged ligament to regenerate it.But it can take five to six months for a full recovery, and surgeons would prefer not to harvest healthy tissue if possible. Researchers have tried to craft ligament-like scaffolds to help the healing process before, but success has been limited. This is the first time that researchers have combined synthetic materials with ACL cells and been able to substantially engineer new ligament tissue.

In addition to the 'biomimetic' scaffold, which combines synthetic materials with animal cells, the researchers also tested a purely synthetic scaffold. But the healing process with this device was slower. Further tests will be required to determine the value of this approach. However, the results of this preliminary study indicate it could be a promising ligament replacement therapy, which could potentially speed up the recovery process, Laurencin says.

From this article we can know that the researchers is using bionic technique to repair the torn knee ligament. Although it hasn't been successful yet, the researchers is trying to look for relationships between problems and solution that occur in rabbits which is much similiar with our torn knee ligament.
